A little misleading
Nov. 9th, 2005 07:24 am"It's a strange new world when women and children are considered military targets."
Just because someone else locked their post shortly after making this comment - it is something I refuse to stand for. When children are used as weapons, or as PR shields (often we'd find that the insurgents co-located with women and children for the legal protection / bad PR it would give us for engaging them). I've seen it before - when Croats were used as human shields for Serb tanks. The effect is similar, except where the joke on us is that we're 'indiscriminantly killing' women and children, the Serbs had to kill their own countryment to get at the Croat tanks. It's a decisive move on the insurgent's strategy (they've been doing it for more than a year now).
The whole purpose of that is that they are sacrificing their women and children to get us to lose our will to fight. War is an ugly thing. If the world was ready for peace (not read 'enforced peace') then we'd have it.
