Day before Valentine's...
Feb. 13th, 2005 06:47 pmThere isn't anything like Valentine's Eve at all. Yesterday, I met up with Soreth, but forgot something that I forgot to do - plan. Usually, I plan for stuff, though that day was an exception. Hopefully, things will go better next time. Soreth is cool, and I figure that we both just needed some time to chill - as that was what the consensus was. I'm not sure if this is indicative of what will happen in Everett in a couple days.
I celebrated the 2nd anniversary of flying to(wards) Iraq yesterday. It's been two years since that deployment began. Sometime in late June I'll celebrate the end of that deployment. Though, the celebration is probably to get good and drunk, and experience a four or five star hangover.
I picked up my violin for the first time in two months today, and while I'm not happy about the way I sound, I know what I need to do to fix it. So, in all, it's been a good day.
I've had two generous glasses of a local blackberry wine that's to die for. Of all the fruity wines I've had around the world, I think I found one that tastes so good that I'd be willing to drink it with breakfast.
I I I I I. Now on to other people, or maybe not. I'll go from talking about "I" and start using "me" a little more.
The Paradice Roleplaying System is probably going to get resurrected from it's ashes soon - and I'll be placing some of the original game testers in charge of it - let them have the business part of the project. Since I'm involved in music (and some film), I'll probably keep my hands away from the system once the bones are decided upon, and I feel that they are. The finer tuning, the creation of some sort of default campaign setting and all that, I'll leave to my friends. I will continue to write backstory and fiction for my own game world, but I probably won't be running campaigns in it very often.
I hope, dear readers, that everything is going well. If not, you have either my empathy or sympathy. With that, I'm off to run amok with comments. Yay running amok!
