Instead of doing memes and copypasta - I no longer need to do that and fail to make the source known (or at least an lj-user link). Oh no. The days of that are over. I can leave other sets of comments and share my public posts, or your public posts, through my Google Reader (of which I have zero friends on! *cries*

Well, about 30 individuals received invites, and I'm continuing to find ways of how this new method of thing works. For instance, instead of getting a mix and mash of everyone's updates in their life chronologically (the LJ-friends page), now I have many (but not all) categorized so I can read the public parts of your journal (and at will, share what I feel important to share) to all my friends (real or imagined).

What's especially cool about this? I can use this blog for WHATEVER I WANT, and share what I want to of it (although, you have the freedom to share whatever of it you want too - so if I make my thesis about how inflatable shamus are going to take over the world, you can share it, and I'll be none-the-wiser.

Which, I guess means, that yes, if you're making public posts, they really are public. If you haven't already, probably about time to disable anonymous posting. For those who use blogs to disseminate cool stuff, (Uncle Lumpy, Baxil, Lukeski), this means that each person who reads you has a one-click option to share with a close-knit group of friends (through gmail).

I wish I'd refined my use of Google Reader before jumping into it full-speed-ahead. With luck, may my little words help you with your experience.
