Beware of the low flying butterflies.
Nov. 21st, 2005 08:14 amAnother fun day. I upgraded my site last night only to break it. Badly. But hey, if you don't win some, you lose some. I didn't lose much but my style sheets, so now I just have to go back through and make sure that everything looks 'kinda' correct.
I miss what the site used to look like - and the way that some fields now don't accept HTML. So, I still have some minor things to fix. Growing pains, we call them.
With that though, there is also a neato little thing that Vilkacis helped me out with. Instead of having about 40 quotes of the 'screen', there are now 1639 such quotes. A small contribution to say the least. Next up, I will be writing some scripts to import CD Market listings in the same manner. When that's done, I will be able to update each subgenre once every 200 or so days (if I do this one at a time).
That seems like a long time, but I calculated that it would take me 14 years to catch up to where CD Baby is now. So, I think this is a good thing. That would be called the silver lining.
Speaking of, I'm thinking of going with a totally new stylesheet and stuff... I'll let you know how that goes.
