Ok. No New Stuff for Nephyl (until midnight tonight - in whatever timezone my server is in)

However, I did install and add some new stuff to Paradice Net today.
An Archive for Nephyl's Heritage (NIP).
A gallery - specifically for photos of myself, friends and fans. Also, for arteeests who contribute to the site (in one way or another), I'll host a gallery of images that we agree on (content wise) on Paradice Net. Generally, this is for artists who've done commissions for Paradice Net. Currently, there are two who'd qualify, and I'll be approaching them at some point to build their galleries.

Work to be had on Paradice Net:
Trademarks: Already commissioned out
Topic Icons: Already commissioned out
Banners: Already commissioned out
.swf: may be commissioned out - need to check with the arteest
AMVs or just music videos of An Open Mind: Up for volunteers.
forum smilies: up for grabs - though I'm waiting on a motif from the trademarks and topic icons
avatar for me: commissioned out - should be done soon methinks...
tPRS art (for monsters, weps and stuff): Not even begun yet - will probably hire more than one arteest for this stuff.
Nephyl's Heritage (and other writings for Three Worlds): Symbology, maps, and scenes, perhaps. Heck turning the whole thing into a GNIP might be fun, but since I can't draw stick figures, I worry sometimes what it might turn out to be.

Eventually, the gallery will be used also to stick pictures along with articles that relate to whatever it is - aside from a mere topic icon. Also, if you're a fan of sorts (or friend, or what have you - I have a couple stalkers too, so if you'd like to be one, get in line), you're more than welcome to send me a picture to post in my friends/fans gallery. No nudity or anything like that. PG13ish should be a good guideline.

What happens, happens. As a last note, I found that my record is also sold at Tower Records' online store. Hopefully it can be ordered from their actual retail stores as well...

Based off of a distressing entry in one of my friend's journals (I apologize for getting too fired-up about it), I've decided to place the causes down for the five friends I've lost in the past year, since it wasn't Iraq that killed them. They were all in the Army. In my unit.

1 Homicide (double homicide, spouse was also killed)
1 Boating Accident
2 Motorcycle Accidents
1 90ft Tower crumbled beneath - fell to her death

The sad part is, none of it was due to enemy action, yet most of these soldiers died had already done at least one tour to Iraq/Afghanistan/elsewhere. Most were combat veterans. So far, I've run across various memorials for the first and last ones. To think, that I won't hear their names any more. Ever again.

On a side note, I need to get some dragonny emoticons set up with my LJ... or something.
