Its been swell, but the swelling's gone.

If folks want to discuss why I'm leaving the LJ community, that's fine. As someone who has gotten help removing malicious code from various sites of his, the LJ tech support folks who say 'oh, this was obfuscated and it wasn't supposed to do what it did' are covering their butts. Unfortunately for LJ, I don't want to be an unwitting accomplice to their illegal activities. Just because we caught them in this, they have demonstrated that they are willing to commit illegal activities (at least click fraud) to make money.

LJ has proven themselves to even approach my ethical standards. Therefore, this is possibly 'it' for this journal. If you wish to find me elsewhere, I will be doing less-personal stuff on other parts of the internet, and will be posting my contact information (and other such things) in a locked post, so that for those of you who have few other ways to reach me; can. Since LJ is the second major blog company that has fallen from grace, I will not be starting a Dreamwidth account, or other new blogs, elsewhere.

Its been fun to be here, and given all the partial migrations I've seen, I'll be a part of that too, to some extent. Its just that I'll be migrating in a different direction. See you around!
