First Military Funeral...
Feb. 20th, 2007 03:20 pmToday is the first time that I was the part of a send-off for one of our own. A retired Army recruiter from Baraboo, WI. While my feelings are rather detached (I don't understand what's going on in my head well enough to really elaborate and/or share), I've realized that are two things that I'd like to have happen:
When it's my turn, that my final farewell is as well-done as we did today.
When I go, I'd like for there to still be an Earth to be sent from, and while we're at it, the country I've shed blood and tears for.
Everyday is a holiday.
