Taxes Suck...
Jan. 26th, 2007 02:52 pmApparently, my personal deduction (non-itemized) went down by 1600 dollars. This is funny, because my taxable income went dowm by $15,000, but my monthly tax witholding will stay the same. Wow.
Besides that, my vacation time is almost over. Too many crazy things going on at once to number. I have about as much control of my life as you do of a tornado. On the bad side, I get to figure out how to get a new vehicle. This is because the maintenance bill on my intrepid tops $3k per year. Every year I've owned it. It has about $5k worth of work that it needs (sooner or later) - between a new transmission, new catalytic converter, and the cheapest, a new oil pan. While I'm at it - it's probably low on headlight fluid.
With this budget (and losing another $450 off of my monthly income when I move in April), I'm not confident until I run the numbers that I'll be able to afford living outside the barracks. I really need to stop worrying about money though... I may have a strategy in motion that will fix some of this.
