Silo 17 back up

Annnd... I worked today. Last week and this week are completely squished together. 13 consecutive working days (unless I don't get next Sunday off). Yay me.

Silo 17 went well in it's secretive little way. I still haven't posted the new rules yet, as there is the Old Set, the New Set, and the New International Version to combine. And break. And tweak. And then edit and publish.

I think I ran into one of Jakkal's least favorite people in my chatroom. Second Life came up and the first words in response were 'I hate Jakkal'. (to which I replied: "Well Skeezix (as I'll be calling him more and more), what could you have possibly done to piss off Jakkal, and why shouldn't I breathe down your neck about it right this minute?" Ok, so I have to wait until tomorrow to make that reply, but now I'm very curious.

There are some friends of mine that do not get along with others. Great. I take that for granted. But if you do something to piss another off, I might try to either resolve the conflict, or if I'm tired of doing that (like I am of Target #1), then I'll simply tell that person where to stick it and give them a ticket for the next bus somewhere else.

From the department of memology...

... and a meme (the first one I remember doing this year)
This is a twist on the Letter Meme. Instead of coming up with ten items for a certain letter, you come up with five song titles for a certain letter and explain why you picked them. If interested then leave a comment. I'll give you a letter. You post this blurb in your journal along with your list.

I got an O from Baxil. For a bit of challenge, I'll constrain myself to songs that are personally meaningful that I either found as a source for my own beliefs.

O Fortuna - Richard Wagner... Putrid perfection is only a self realization, a frame of mind. Purity exists only in the eye of the beholder, whether benevolent or benign.

Operation Spirit: The Tyranny of Tradition - Live... One tenant of my personal beliefs is not what you did, but is what you are doing now that matters. Said very well by this: "I've heard a lot of talk about this Jesus. A man of love and a man of strength. But what a man was, 2,000 years ago, means nothing at all to me, today."

Oops! Slim Shady Did It Again! - DJ Gauffie remix... Two things: Social Ills + Crappy Mainstream Music demonstrate the decadence in Operation Spirit in the style of a musical pun. The only bachground music written for Brittney Spears I'll listen to.

Odinary Day - Great Big Sea... This is one I need to listen to more often, as I used to be almost a duck-dragon, able to wash any manner of harm right off my back. Life is indeed all about perception, and with that, if you perceive the world is going to hell, not only is that what you will always see (even in my own digressions about decadence contained herein), but what you will contribute to, by convincing others of the same.

Odeka Ke Chocobo - Nobuo Uematsuo... Sometimes, simple is fun. Sometimes, fun is written in General MIDI. With one instrument. Which is why it might predate general MIDI. Not too sure on this one. Fun.
